"Jaco Putker is sculptor who is a painter. That's no contradiction. Jaco Putker makes work which is no trick and which can't be pushed into catagories. An artist for whom the choice of tool is no obstruction. He studied at the Escuela Superior Ernesto de la Corcova in Buenos Aires and at the Academy of Fine Arts in The Hagues. He still lives and works in the dutch city. Apart from a painter, Jaco is also a digital artist. This development has started years ago when he initiated the infamous Pigman-project. A project which incorparates music, film and stills to this very day. You could call him a multidisciplinairy artist. Or a creative centipede. But what's in a name? Art is about instinct and emotion and Jaco's got lots of it. And he's able to express it with any kind of tool."
